The "Gotta read" stuff
FLTARGETMASTER is my internet site as a collector/dealer. I am located near Tampa Florida. I deal primarily in military surplus rifles most of which were issued before 1950, many of which qualify for the Curios and Relics eligibility under the ATF rules. If you plan to acquire more than one of the collectible classics it would be prudent, economical and wise to obtain a C&R license. Contact your local office of the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms ( ATF) for further information. Of course you can always get that information on line.
The information listed below is to provide you, the web user, with some of the information needed prior to purchase. On occasion a firearm shows up that is of the more modern vintage so it is worthwhile to keep an eye on the contents of the site. The rifles shown in the listing are handpicked. There are many rifles that are rejected because they really are not in keeping with the quality standard that I have established. There are a few rifles and shotguns that show up now and then that are listed that are .well... they are there because they are cheap and easy for the beginning collector, or for someone who wants a wall hanger ( or because I ended up with it and really want to divest myself of it). And every now and then a "unusual and.or out of place" item will show up, but that is because I have acquired that, and think it may just be of interest to those who visit the site. Some of us in the collector community do have "other interests" ....such as hunting and target shooting.
It is my intent that the collector, be it a new or experienced collector, appreciate the old military classics and enjoy visiting this site. I tend to be a bit a bit irreverent at times but it is always done with the best of intentions.
I can be reached at fltargetmaster@ fltargetmaster.com for further information and clarifications.
Some points that everyone needs to know from the very beginning:
First of all, everyone knows my typing skills are lacking. Therefore, typo errors are to be expected but NOT ridiculed. I really try and correct 'em but as we know a few slip by and get posted. And we can add to that stipulation that my picture taking skills are even worse than my typing. I have a new digital camera but uploading the shots so that they can be emailed has eleuded my "hit it with a hammer" approach.
Terms and Conditions:
1. Any and all sales will be made in full compliance with applicable state and federal laws. If you are under 21, please dont even waste our time. I will ship to an FFL holder who provides the needed documentation. I will ship to C&R license holders who provide the documentation for those guns that qualify under BATF regulations and under applicable state and local regulations. Documentation is needed at the first purchase. Sending an FFL just so I have it "in case" just causes filing problems here.
2. If anyone cares to shoot a rifle like this they should have the rifle checked by a competent gunsmith for safety and reliability. Prudent action and caution is recommended with any surplus item. THESE RIFLES ARE SOLD AS COLLECTOR ITEMS . To repeat ....if you want to shoot any of these rifles have them checked by a competent gunsmith
3. If a reader is not an FFL holder ( C&R included) but is interested and wants one of the rifles listed he (yes, I still use the pronoun to mean man or woman) should locate and make arrangements with an Federal Firearms License (FFL) dealer to arrange the shipping and transfer Most dealers will do the transfer for a small fee.
4. Payments are acceptable by money order, bank check or Postal money order. Personal checks are acceptable but no shipment will be made until the check clears. ( Trust me, money orders work better) If the buyer is from Florida, the sales tax will be added to the cost. I DO NOT accept PayPal and based on their attitude towards firearms would recommend that you treat them accordingly. Prices are subject to change so before you order make sure the price is what you assume it to be. ( In other words....the price listed in here might not be correct so verify to avoid any misunderstandings)
5. Shipping is either by UPS or by USPS or FedEx. The charge for shipping varies with the size and weight of the shipping carton and what shipper is used. UPS is usually less costly with a flat fee for the shipping which includes the prep, packing and insurance is now about $20...usually. It can be more in some cases. When shipping is done the purchaser is notified of the tracking number so it can be tracked for arrival. USPS shipping goes by "turtle" and is 'spensive. FedEx also tends to run a bit more. I try and use the least costly and that which gets there quickly.
6. Rifles are shipped with the clear understanding that the buyer does have a three-day inspection period which does not include firing the weapon. If the buyer finds that the rifle is not as noted on here and wishes to return the rifle, that can be done at the buyer's expense. The purchase price for the rifle will be refunded ( doesnt include shipping costs) as long as the piece is returned in as least as nice condition as when it was shipped from here. Purchasers who have previously inspected the purchase at a show may also return a purchase but will be charged a $ 25.00 stocking fee. Returns are not accepted if the buyer is unable to pass the background check or if the purchaser finds that the jurisdiction to which the weapon is shipped will not allow such a weapon.
7. If a potential buyer has any questions or concerns I can be contacted via this site and will try to get responses out as soon as possible If a buyer is interested I can and do talk to the buyer on the telephone and answer any questions about the rifle ....as I hold it. My vocal communication is much better than the written as far as descriptions are concerned. . I jhave a digital camera and am still reading the instructions...so there may be hope ( but not much success).
8. Yes, I do buy collections. Not huge ones , mind you , but I am always willing to negotiate. So if you have some rifles you are thinking about selling or just disposing of, please do contact me.
9. Please don't ask me to list my entire inventory and prices. If a reader is interested in a particular item, ask. I really don't feel like providing a list of what I stock. I have trouble enough doing this website much less extra typing.
10.No sales or shipments to outside of the United States and it doesn't matter if the foreign country is a " good ally".

Mausers
Swede 38 The Swedish short rifle in the 6.5x55 calibre. The rifle is in good shape and has matching parts. Several parts have the tilted crown but that tends to be the norm. It is missing a cleaning rod , hardly an insurrmountable matter. For a Husky 42 it has survived far betrter than its current owner and with less dents too.
Cost: $315
Swede 96 Matching and in very nice condition. Threaded for blank firing adapter ( actually wooden bullet adapter). Nice stock too. And if you want I can put a screw on cap over the threads too at no additional charge
Cost $320
Swede 96 Bent Bolt CG in very nice condition. Matching and with a nice stock too. (no, not the rod)
Cost $ 390
Swede 96/38 Threaded barrel with cap. Very nice condition. Bolt is mismatched ( yeah somebody swapped it...rats!!) Geez, the floorplate is mismatched too....the numberrs inverted. Accident?? I dunno because the Swede armorers were pretty meticulous but it could have happened on a Monday. But it comes with a bayonet and sling. Bore is very very nice and the rear sight is a micrometer version.
Cost. $295
No more Swedes in the distributors systems ( well a few 38's with badly cracked stocks are there). Prices will start to move upward again as people recognize that the early birds get the deals. Those who waited for the prices to go lower are still waiting
Yugoslavian 24/47
We have one left in very good condition. $160 Write for further information.
Yugoslavian 48A
One left. Hard to believe folks but these Mausers are no longer flooding the market and they are beginning to hold their value. . They are sturdy, reliable and reasonably accurate "mid ring" 98s
$210
Yugoslavian 48
The Yugoslavian answer to the mid ring "98" shortage. While a 98 action it is really a unique version. This one is in almost new condition with deep blue, shiney bore with splotches of cosmoline added at no cost. Stock is in fine condition. It goes out with the ammo pouch and if I can find it the bayonet. Cost??
SOLD
GERMAN MAUSERS
Those that are Russian Capture are clearly identified as such. Most of these are the "uncaptured" versions ( That means they dont have that reblued finish and electropenciled numbering...)
98K
A Russian Capture item....AR 41 which is in very good condition. Missing of course the small acrews at the trigger guard and no cleaning rod. The bore is amazingly sharp and clean. A most interesting stamp on the receiver where there is a 7 between the AR and the 41 date. The wood is in very good condition too.....and the $360 price tag makes it affordable. Hey!!! This is the first AR7 ....I think.
98K
This 660 coded 1940 rifle is a Russian capture but is in very very nice condition. It does have all the set screws and a cleaning rod and is one of the better looking RCs I have seen recently. The code is rare and the condition and history make this a collectible piece.
Cost....$355
98K
This is a DOT 1944 version. It has the late war buttplate with the takedown hole, a missing lower sling ( and that is not a usual issue item on the 98K) and needs a good wood stripping. But the barrel, receiver, front band and floorplate match as does the buttplate.. Pinged in one area . All in all....a good choice for a re-enactor or one looking for a shooter, Not a Russ Cap!! Cost....$230
98K.
This puppy is a rare one....in todays market that is. It's a 27 coded 1938 which is all matching. It has about 85% blueing remaining. The stock is in fine shape but it's a laminated stock which doesnt seem quite right ( No joke). It does have the WaA on the stock of course and on the metal in the appropriate parts. The floorplate screws are numbered as well This'n is a nice looking piece ...no rod or sling but can be added as a new owner decides upon options. Best guess from the "experts" is that this was a mid war stock replacement Cost?? $900
98 GEW
This is one of the double dated transitional models with the Weimar Republic proofs. It is all (well mostly) correct and matching. The triggerguard, floorplate and assembly appears to have been pirated from a 98K. Other than that ( and some misnumbered screws)it looks to be all as it supposed to be. Some mottling on the metal but it is in really good condition overall. It is a Waffenfabrik Mauser A/G Oberndorf A/N dated 1917. Restamped in 1920 and liberally numbered stock, with at least one of the numbers reflecting the serial number. The metal disc is stamped 91.R.164.
SOLD
98K
A Sauer coded ( Scripted ) 1942 issue. Serial number 2XXX and matching. Not sure about the stock because I havernt disassembled it. The wood has a few dents and bruises and one contusion/dig on the underside of the stock. The handguard has a small crack about 4 inches long which looks to be easily repaired. The metal has the freckled appearance on much of the receiver but no sign of rust or pitting.
Cost: $ 900
1871 Mauser A real old Mauser that somehow has survived. It is all matching, including the screws, with one exception...the buttplate. It possesses all the appropriate cartouches and markings. Manufactured in 1873 it has shed all its blue and the stock shows some digs and wear. Authentic. For the collector . Price is still in the three digits. Write for details.
$ 925
SWISS
One K 31 in very nice condition with superb bore.equipped with muzzle covers and the correct slings. It has some minor bumps and nicks but no gouges or cracks that I have found. $ 240 Another K31, beech stock, with a few bumps and nicks but very nice blueing $ 185. Also have just gotten a walnut stocked K31...priced at $260
YUGOSLAVIAN
Several 59/66s in like new condition. These come with some accessories such as slings and ammo pouches and a liberal coating of cosmoline to protect them from the harsh Florida winds. I suspect these have never been unit issued and the are in like new condition. These SKS models are just what is needed for the summer doldrums relief. Priced at $199 each or two for $375 . Also a Yugoslavian 98K that is in excellent condition.
Mosin Nagants
FINNISH
We have nice M-39s in stock.. and a B Barreled 39 . And we have a 1970 dated 39 too.And others.... several SA marked 91/30 editions now grace the rack.. The 91/30s are obviously wartime issues and do have some bumps and such. Some of these are on Finn stocks and others on the Russki wood. And we have some 91s too on Finnish Furniture... Inventory is getting thin. A 1924( to fill in a gap in the collection). . Hmm just found a Hachman & Co bayonet. I think it's a 28 versian..no oil hole. But I can be wrong as you may gather.
